she`s so skirt!she`s so skirt!

Tammy Barber is a globetrotting goddess.

The former ballerina started her second lifetime of international travel after running away to get married in the tropical heat of Turtle Island, Fiji in 2003, then hopping over to Australia’s Gold Coast, then jetting to the subzero cold of St. Petersburg, Russia. From there, Tammy and her husband were off to Honduras, the British Virgin Islands, Japan, China, Africa, Argentina (where the couple also have a home), Switzerland, Italy, England, France, and Ukraine. But Russia is the city that makes the interior-designer-and-equestrian-business-owner’s eyes sparkle. Every June, she and her husband spend a month of white nights in their apartment on Nevsky Prospect. “I’ve been in love with Russia my whole life,” she says. “It’s like Dr. Zhivago.  Everything is elegant and glistening with ice. Even grocery stores look like museums with crystal chandeliers, mahogany walls and marble floors. It’s so grand.” And her Russian friends tell her she looks more Russian than they do.
