My work: President/Owner of Home Helpers and Direct Link in Greer, SC

My passion: To provide the best care available to families in need.

I love: Spending time with family and friends.

My hometown: Born and raised in the Greer/Tigerville area.

I’m thinking about: What 2010 has in store for my business.

The food I never want to eat again: Prunes.

My best friend says I am: “Determined. Get on the train, find your own train, but don’t stand on the tracks.” Thanks Wanda!!

I can’t live without: Diet Coke and chocolate.

The worst idea I’ve ever had: Quitting College at 19 and having to pay to go back myself.

I feel strongest when: I trust in God completely and wholly.

I am guilty of: Collecting handbags and shoes.

When I grow up, I want to be: Someone my children will be proud of.

If I were a superheroine, I would be: Super Mom.

My blog: homehelpersgreer.blogspot.com

Something most people don’t know about me: I’m an ordained Presbyterian USA Elder.

My favorite possession: My wedding rings.

My best bargain find: A $5 Tommy Hilfiger purse at Belk’s. (Was originally $98)

Words I live by: “It’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.” By Abraham Lincoln.

I am most proud of: Getting this business in the black after 18 months and celebrating our 2nd anniversary of being open.

I’m inspired by: The Seniors I have met over the past couple of years. So many great life experiences and stories.

What keeps me awake at night: Not much normally. Sometimes when we have a really ill client that a caregiver is staying with.

One thing I never want to do again: Have a job with loads of travel associated with it.

If I could be totally wild, I would: Grab some girlfriends and head to Atlantis in the Bahamas. Sun, fun, great food, casinos….yes!!!!

Right now I’m reading: “Working with Seniors” a textbook for my CSA certification class. Last fun book I read was “Matters of the Heart” by Danielle Steele.

The one item that has changed my life: Becoming a Mom.

Favorite website: www.facebook.com (So I can keep up with friends.)

Last major purchase: A refrigerator (I know – boring!!)

The nickname I wish I had: Skinny (haha!!)

My theme song: “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor

If I could do it all over again: I would have gone away to college instead of studying locally.

My favorite body part: Eyes.

The food I could eat every day: Chocolate (have I mentioned that before?)

The most important thing I ever lost: My high school ring.

The best thing I ever won: 4 ft. Hallmark Christmas bear.

I still can’t get the hang of: Painting.

I wish I’d known: To spend more time with my Grandparents. I wish I knew more of their stories and life experiences.

The world would be a better place, if only: We followed the Golden Rule more and treated each other as God’s children.

I’d like to learn to: How to paint and hang wallpaper.

My mother always said: “If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all.”

The smartest woman I know: My Mom. At 75, she has persevered through so much and has so much experience at everything.

My first job: Cashier at K-Mart.

What are you most vain about?: My face – don’t like people or things to touch it.

Whose diary would you most like to read?: Maybe Hillary Clinton’s – I would like to know how she really handled the scandal with her husband as First Lady.

What do you fear the most?: My children getting really sick or injured.

Best one-liner you ever heard: “I love you Mommy!”

Early bird or night owl?: Definitely early bird.

Favorite color and why?: Blue – love looking at the sky and the various shades of blue.

At the end of a long day, the first thing I want to do is:  Nap!!

Always...be true to yourself.

Never...say never.

I wish…I was the person my animals think I am.
