Kris plays with fire, and water.

A former Marine and native of Montana, Kris Decker met his wife, Monica, while living in Maui. It was there that he decided to turn his long-time passion for photography into his dream job. Now, the couple owns the aptly named Firewater Photography, specializing in architecture and fine art. Kris’ career embodies his sense of adventure as well as his appreciation of beauty. “Monica is a professional model, so while I’m shooting a corporate office, high-end kitchen or restaurant, she styles the set.” He also appreciates the power of the feminine beyond a life and business partner. “I witnessed the amazing strength that women possess throughout my childhood. My mother raised me and my brother by herself, while working full-time and earning her Master’s with honors. My brother and I didn’t turn out too bad, either!” Indeed.
