The Whistling Season

A highlight of my summer was this charming read recommended by my equally charming friend Gwen Walters.  The most inspirational teacher ever fills a one-room schoolhouse with life and ideas and graduates some top students who will never forget him.  A woman who was clearly a beauty and full of energy (with a secret ( answers a Housekeeper Wanted ad and brings that brother? along for the ride!  Fascinating; trust me. ~Shirley’s Bar  p.s.  What are you reading?
